Happy Holidays, JAM Members!

As you are getting ready for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, this is a reminder that the Jazz Association of Macon will host our Holiday JAM on Friday, December 5, 2025.  This year, we are going to enjoy a wonderful dinner and then we will take the opportunity to enjoy some of the other special events that are taking place on this First Friday in December.  

 

FIRST STOP:  Meet at 3rd and Cherry Steak and Seafood Restaurant, 379 Third Street, Macon, 31201 at 5:00 PM for dinner.
Everyone orders from the menu, dinner is on your own.  JAM will treat members to a specialty cocktail. 

 

SECOND STOP:  After dinner is over at approximately 7 :00 PM, we will walk through the Christmas Lights Extravaganza and browse and shop through the Marche de Noel!  This European style holiday market will reflect Macon's sister city relationship with Macon, France which will heavily influence the blend of French, Bavarian, and German traditions and product offerings. We can enjoy the music, and arts vendors and maybe a glass of mulled wine.  There will be time for selfies with Santa and carriage rides on Popular Street.  From 8:00-8:30, we will stop at Gallery West, 447 3rd Street, where we can catch a glimpse of Macon's musical history at this gallery of Kirk Wests photography, featuring onstage and offstage shots of legends such as Muddy Waters, Tom Waits, the Allman Brothers Band, the Rolling Stones and many others. Definitely a stop for music lovers!

 

THIRD STOP:  At 8:30, walk to 576 Popular Street to historic Grants Lounge where KMO and Friends will perform.  The first set runs from 9-10 PM and the second set runs from 10:30 - 11:30.  If you and guests are planning to attend this part of our holiday celebration, send an email to the JAM email address:   jazzmacon@gmail.com,  with your name and the number in your party and your tickets for Grant & Lounge will be waiting for you at the door on Friday, December 5.  The ticket will take care of your admittance and attendance at both sets.
