Jazz in our Schools!

JAM has performed for more than 20 years for the children of Bibb County.  JAM Goes Back to School is an educational jazz performance presented by local musicians.

 

The JAM ensemble draws from spirituals to ragtime and from blues to Dixieland.

 

The ensemble explains to students about different styles of rhythms consisting of straight ahead, Latin, swing, blues, funk, bossa nova, and contemporary.
