The Goals of JAM
- Encourage and support the creation, performance, instruction, presentation, and preservation of jazz music
- Support the creation of new audiences for jazz music.
- Provide a current documentation of jazz as a living art form.
- Provide education and information for improvement of the status and support of jazz music in the Middle Georgia area.
- Support and encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of jazz musicians and the jazz field.
- Develop a network among local, state and nation-wide jazz associations and organizations.
- Facilitate, strengthen and enhance the status of jazz as an American art form among local, state and nation-wide jazz associations and organizations.
- Develop a legislative initiative at local and state levels.
- Increase the media’s attention to jazz and increase the mode of listening on area radio networks to include jazz music.
